*Müzik in the making*
30'
The Alevis come from a heterodox minority from Turkey, whose religious practice has become more of a cultural tradition, based on music and poetry. For a long time, because of persecuted by the Turkish state, Alevis have exiled themselves, yet continue to develop forms of political and cultural resistance. Alevie music is a 'music in the making', it is in constant experimentation, using the baglama (also called saz, the national instrument in Turkey). The music has evolved over several generations, in its region of origin as well as in its diasporas.
This musical, sonic and poetic performance creates a polyglot and symbolic bridge between the Brussels and Luxembourg Alevis diaspora and offers an original and sensitive radio form of this emerging music via its instrument, voices and poetry.
